Dr Kevin Blackwell

Dr. Kevin Blackwell, is the Assistant to the President for Church Relations at Samford University and Executive Director of the Ministry Training Institute. He is also serves as the Disciplemaking and Teaching Pastor at The Station Church. Married for 28 years with 4 children, he lives in Alabama. Experienced pastor and church leader he was awarded the prestigious Troy L. Morrison Award for pastoral leadership by the Alabama Baptist Convention in 2011. Former President of the Alabama Baptist Pastor’s Conference (2014). Dr. Blackwell received his Bachelor of General Studies from Samford, a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Theology from the Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His doctoral work was in the area of church health and revitalization. He is also earned a Ph.D. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His dissertation thesis was An Analysis and Critique of Disciple Making Within Ecclesial Movements in the United States, 1970-2020, With a View Toward Implementing a Faithful New Testament Missio Ecclesia. Avid runner, passionate sports fan and proponent of a biblical world view. He is available for preaching, revivals, conferences and training events.
